Maybe you put your Christmas tree up the second Thanksgiving is over, or maybe you wait until there are only a handful left to choose from in the lot — but this year, you just might order it on Amazon.
The retailing giant announced that they’ll be boxing up 7-foot trees and shipping them out for Christmas, according to The Associated Press. Last year, the company sold trees shorter than 3 feet, and other merchants used the marketplace to sell larger ones. But shipping 7-foot — as opposed to 3-foot — trees will be a new venture for Amazon.
The trees are Fraser firs from North Carolina, and are available to pre-order. You can order the $110 tree now, and it will be shipped Nov. 19 to 21. Some of them will be available for Prime free shipping.
Real Fraser Fir Christmas Tree (6 to 7 Feet)
Many families use picking out a Christmas tree as a traditional time of bonding and embracing the Christmas spirit (à la National Lampoon, you know?). And with artificial trees being popular, it’ll be interesting to see if convenience wins and Amazon will be the new go-to for yet another product.
